A Real Beer for Michigan.
From the moment the idea was born, Wolverine Beer has been rooted in the essence of Michigan. We were tearing ass down the back roads near the tip of the mitt in a Jeep in the middle of a snow storm. We were late to meet the rest of the crew up north for a long weekend of poker and snowmobiling. When we finally got there, our thirst for ice cold beer was immense.
We had an incredible array of beers: microbrews from small towns all over the state, macrobrews imported from places like St. Louis and Milwaukee, and foreign beers from every corner of the globe. But something big was missing: A real Michigan beer. A beer that stands for everything great about Michigan. A beer that everyone can raise high and say, I’m from Michigan, my beer is from Michigan, and we kick ass!
From that historic night two years ago, we have worked tirelessly to create a beer that stands for everything we love about Michigan: Its rugged and awesome natural beauty; its endless wonderland of outdoor fun; and the pride and toughness of the people who live, work and play here. We created a beer that stands for something. A beer that tells everyone where you’re from. A beer whose name says it all.
A state as rugged and wild as Michigan deserves one bad-ass beer. Fear not Michigan, the Wolverine is back!
